GREEN MARKS, a not-for-profit sustainable development program that we conceived in tandem with environmental consultant Pierre Daigneault. As our contribution to this program, we have fully funded the creation of a template that contains all the basic tools for schools like yours to become greener and to keep improving on your efforts. We call it a
Universal Sustainable Development Policy and we’re offering it to you at no cost. We invite you to

Top Marks is proud to announce that we have achieved a “carbon neutral” status for the year 2010. Bleu Innovation analyzed our operations and drew up a carbon balance sheet that tallied our emissions for that year. Based on the results, Top Marks purchased enough credits in projects that reduce greenhouse gases in order to fully offset our own.
We invested in credits that support Forest Restoration programs in both
Maple Ridge, British Columbia, as well as
Chicoutimi, Quebec. These programs focus on planting trees as a method of offsetting greenhouse gas emissions.
We at Top Marks know that our actions, no matter how small, affect the world around us. So we had Pierre Daigneault and his team at the company, Bleu Innovation, help us create and implement a policy for sustainable development. With this policy as our guide, we’re adapting our methods of conducting business so that we can do our best to ensure a better future for generations of children to come. There are the blue recycling bins under every desk, the order forms and information pamphlets that we send out electronically rather than by mail and our switch to lighting that’s both bright and energy efficient. And we’re constantly searching for other ways to become more environmentally friendly and responsible. That is our commitment.
